The Catshack Reports is super pumped to introduce to the paintball community the 3rd Annual “Promised Land III” event. For the past two years three factions have fought bitter battles over the resource rich lands that is “The Promised Land”. The Corporation maneuvers in their efforts to control and further line their pockets, The Slickers control the region with an iron fist and the law and The Outkasts simply want to survive.

The event itself will bring out an estimated 300+ paintball enthusiasts to enjoy a big game that will have a brand new storyline AND brand new missions to complete to achieve victory overall. In a heated battle over the rich resources found in the territories, will the Slickers emerge victorious again?….will the OutKasts regain control and take back what they feel is rightfully theirs?…or will the Corporation swoop in to surprise everyone and seize it all for themselves? What exactly is Cystic Fibrosis?

Cystic Fibrosis (also known as CF) is a common hereditary disease which affects the entire body, causing progressive disability and often early death. The name cystic fibrosis refers to the characteristic scarring (fibrosis) and cyst formation within the pancreas, first recognized in the 1930s.[1] Difficulty breathing is the most serious symptom and results from frequent lung infections that are treated, though not cured, by antibiotics and other medications. A multitude of other symptoms, including sinus infections, poor growth, diarrhea, and infertility result from the effects of CF on other parts of the body.

Seems to me a very large percentage of the paintball community are youth between the ages of 15 to 25 years of age, the very same age group often stricken with this terrible disease.



Combined, the communities efforts have raised $18000 for Cystic Fibrosis over the past two years and this year we plan on putting together the biggest charity event ever! With a brand new field to work from and past experiences, organizers know exactly what to do to create the biggest event to date. Added to the mix is the addition this year of The Catshack Reports Paintball News, a global online paintball news resource set to not only promote the event, but cover it in its entirety with photography, videography and a full after event article following the day.

I am so proud to have had the opportunity to be a part of this since the ground floor. It's promised land 3 but this is actually our 4th annual big charity event. The first year was played for the Childrens Wish Foundation at Solider Of Fortune Paintball in Hamilton, Ontario.

Made it last year, was a pretty good paintball day. Even speedballers were in a good mood!

For people going the first time, arrive early: parking is far... very far... from the field.

As Darsis has already stated... Inops Suspicio will be there. Going to try my hardest to get the whole team out for this one.
Every year it is a great scenario and for a great cause!

The following is the missions listing for the big upcoming Promised Land III game at Flagswipe Paintball in London ON on June 27th.

In the not so distant future … ongoing disputes have continued amongst the Slickers of Metropolis City and the OutKasts of Shantytown.

In 2008 an all out war broke out over fuel supplies and as matters played out it became apparent a third party, The Corporation, was in fact responsible for sparking this terrible confrontation in their efforts to garner the rich resources this land provided for themselves. In that conflict the Corporation was driven from the Promised Lands and the Slickers emerged victorious to go on to implement law and order. The unwanted OutKasts fled finding refuge wherever they could to survive.

In 2009 the Corporation returned once again in an effort to seize the resources the lands had to offer and find a descendent of their slain CEO. Finding the golden child was crucial to control the Corporation. As the battle progressed, once again the Slickers upheld the law and drove the Corporation away once more, further smashing pockets of OutKast resistance leaving many broken and destitute.

For 2010 we pick up where we left off. In this battle, the remnants of the OutKast Forces and the Corporation Executives once again lock horns with the Slickers. The Slickers have the golden child and orders are given to shoot down the fleeing Corporation Executive Jet and hunt down what is left of the OutKasts and destroy them once and for all.

The game missions are as follows

#1 The Slickers and the OutKasts must a find the color coded key cards (2 for each team) and return the cards to the staging area in order to activate missile defenses and knock the Corporation Jet from the sky. The Corporation Executives with loads of Corporation $$ and precious fuel are attempting to escape. The Missile Launch Pad will be located in the Flagswipe Staging Area.

#2 Should either the Slickers or the OutKasts see Mission #1 successful, both teams must now face Corporation survivors of the subsequent crash and eliminate them.

#3 The Corporations stolen fuel is strewn across the crash site … all fuel will be added to the teams fuel reserves which will be added up at the end of the day to determine the winning team.

#4 The Corporation’s luggage containing Corporation $$ is also strewn across the crash site … $$ may be used by Generals to purchase the use of remaining Corporation troops

#5 Seize control of the Howitzer and hold awaiting the next Corporation air drop of fuel and precious supplies. Fuel drops will take place every 15 minutes.

#6 Heavy drums of precious fuel must be located, dug up and transported to the Gas Depot, first team to do so will have fuel added to their fuel reserves.

#7 The Final Battle ... the final countdown to the final solution

Who will emerge triumphant? ... will the Slickers maintain their control of the lands and continue to rule with an iron fist?.... will the OutKasts make a comeback and take back what they feel is rightfully theirs? ... will the Corporation find a way to escape again with precious cargo?

Inops Suspicio has attended the past 2 Promised Land scenario and are honored that Tomcat has asked us to take command of the Slickers.

I for one am looking forward to June 27th, should be yet another great event at Flag Swipe.

We look forward to continuing the tradition of the Slickers winning, and ruling with an iron fist, all in the name of a great cause. Very excited for this game, the Promised Land games have always been a highlight for me of the season, and looking forward to seeing the new field.
