Well this was certainly unexpected. I had my typical knee jerk reaction to anything and everything .50 caliber until I read this.

“Valken looks forward to supplying the industry with G.I. Milsim’s full line of markers, loaders and Dark Sports .50 & .68 caliber paintballs, as soon as possible”, added Postorivo.

I posted my thoughts on their status update. Needless to say a lot of people agree with me that Facebook needs to add a dislike button.

My two most hated paintball topics nowadays is anything .50 cal paintball and milsim-wannabe speedball markers.

Who is this G.I. Milsim you speak of?

*wracks memory*

Oh yeah, I vaguely remember them. Something about a revolution eh? Wonder what happened to that.

Valken is 68 caliber. If you'll notice, GI Milsim is both.

Could the reaction be the result of knowing that the owner of GI Milsim (arguably) once produced the best paintballs in the industry and now he's back at it....in both 50 and 68 caliber and Valken is his US distributor?

If I were employed at another company, I'd definately be worried.

Focus people.

Now we just need Milsig and Vtac to team up and i think our lives will be complete 8)

All hope aside, I have no problem with VTac selling GI Milsim goods as long as they let the freemarket decide how our sport evolves :) I dont really see anything on their website that fills me with .68caliber insiration though... so allas... we might be outa luck... :?

Ya know, I took over an hour, had this big, long explination of everything wrong with GI Milsim, and then I realized that their products will speak for themselves.
The Milsim line of .50 products are Smart parts guns, and Smart Parts is bankrupt.
I think that says it all.
And I can't find anything on their site that says Gi Milsim is doing anything in .68, so Rich is certainly keeping his revolution a secret.

I hear Angel has a "revolutionary" new milsim marker, I wonder if they'll make a .50 conversion kit.....

Fail.

Meh

They're going to sell their stuff to SOMEONE somehow, may as well be a distributor we like than someone else.

Lets see what happens, it's not like .50 cal is the worst thing ever, just not the best thing ever.
